Synopsis

According to many authors, one of the main characteristics of modernity is increasing speed. German sociologist Hartmut Rosa has recently emphasized this characteristic. The increasing speed of accelerating time makes slow people forgotten. In contrast, religious traditions and fundamental positions think of time and speed in terms of preserving the pace and rhythm that is appropriate for human beings.
