O tempora, o mores! – A mesterséges intelligencia és a szerzőség kérdése –
Synopsis
Could Artificial Intelligence (AI) be considered intelligent in terms of free will, responsibility, and creativity? And if so, then in what sense? Does it have a “personality,” and could personal rights and moral norms be attached to it? This article also explores the issue of authorship from a copyright perspective by presenting interesting case studies: first of all, if someone creates a work with the help of AI, or a painting in the style and brushstrokes of a contemporary painter, then who owns the copyright? Is it the original painter, who is unaware that his or her work is being used, or the artist who instructs the machine or algorithm to copy (regenerate) it by creating and using textual instructions (prompts)? Finally, is the author an artist and/or a user, and could the two be one and the same?
